Institute on the Constitution

Institute on the Constitution is an educational effort sponsored by the Law Office of Peroutka and Peroutka in Pasadena, Maryland. Our desire is to help individuals across America understand and appreciate their own history and heritage by reacquainting them with the worldview and vision of our Founding Fathers.

We believe that by understanding the way in which the framers of our Constitutional Republic viewed their relationship to God, to other sovereign states, to their families and to each other, we can gain valuable and practical insight into the foundational principles of America.

We encourage all individuals, families, churches, legislatures, civic and other organizations to familiarize themselves with our Constitutional heritage. Armed with the vision of the Founders, we can take an active role in the restoration of our Constitutional Republic.

5 Cool Christian Apps for Your Teenager

By Caroline Piper

What’s that sound coming from your teen’s tablet? Could it be….Satan? They say the devil is in the details, but what you probably didn’t know is that he can also be in your child’s mobile devices.

There’s a world of temptation out there for today’s teens, and it’s important to keep them on the right path by monitoring the apps they install on their smartphones and tablets.

You’ve worked hard to create a solid foundation of Christian values for your child. Don’t let all that work go to waste with temptations that come from unsavory apps.

Christian Radio FM by Velestar Private Enterprise ($1.99)

You don’t want your teen listening to songs with bad language, disrespectful or violent messages, or similar things. Pastor Ed Young warns against letting such things influence our teens, and he’s right. Instead of getting the wrong messages from popular culture, let them enjoy awesome Christian music with this handy radio app that puts all of the most popular Christian radio stations in one place. Your teen can choose from Christian rock stations, gospel stations, country stations and more. This app is available on iTunes and is compatible with the iPhone or iPad. It’s recommended for ages 12 and up due to the occasional reference in some songs to mild alcohol, tobacco and drug use references (always put in a negative light, though).

Clean Jokes by Roger Bieberich ($0.99)

Your teen probably hears a lot of jokes at school, but not all of them may be appropriate for a Christian teen. Give your teen some good, clean fun with the Clean Jokes app. With a seemingly inexhaustible supply of perfectly wholesome, funny, clean jokes, your teen will never lack for a good laugh or a joke to tell to friends. It works with the iPhone and iPad.

Church Signs by iWill Software (free)

Another great humor app for the iPhone and iPad, Church Signs shows all the latest pictures of humorously worded signs from the nation’s churches. It’s all in good fun, and those funny signs often have really positive messages behind them. It’s a wonderful entertainment app for your teen that can be used alone or with company. This is one way technology can help enhance relationships through enabling teens to laugh together.

Bible HIStory Game by Rob Rienow (free)

Compatible with iPhone and iPad, this app teaches both ancient history and biblical history. It is the mission of the game player to arrange historical events in chronological order. It’s challenging and fun, especially when played competitively in multi-player mode. This is a much better use of your teen’s game time than those violent single-person shooter games, and they’ll be learning world and Bible history in the process.

iPrizeWheel HD for iPad by NRT Media, Inc. ($4.99)

This iPad-only game is perfect for teens, families and even church youth groups to engage in wholesome, competitive fun. It’s a virtual spinning wheel reminiscent of the one on Wheel of Fortune. The difference is that the wheel can be customized to award different real or virtual prizes. It’s excellent to use to reward teens for memorizing Scripture, doing their daily devotional Bible readings or even their chores. They can also use it to play for pretend prizes with their friends while they test each other’s knowledge of Scripture and biblical history.

God In Government

God in Government was founded as an organization for the sole purpose of educating Christians in the areas of Biblical worldview, political ideology, and civic responsibility.

The Bible commands that, “Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities” (Romans 13:1); so it stands to reason that we need to ask: to what type of government do we want to submit?

Our objective is to help Christians to answer this question from a true biblical and historical perspective, so as to prepare us to better serve God (and His people) as responsible participants in today’s civic arena.

Our outreach includes live presentations, the book God in Government, and other resources designed to instruct Christians as to why we should get involved politically, and how our involvement can reverse the trend of ungodliness that has taken over in our society and government.

God admonishes, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge” (Hosea 4:6). We feel that our nation’s cultural decay is the direct result of the Christian’s truncated view of spirituality, and a lack of knowledge due to an indifference toward history and the political realm.

The Bible provides a positive blueprint for all-of-life, including politics, government, economics, law, education, history, science, sociology, and so on.

This is why both a proper biblical world view and a properly educated electorate are fundamental to returning America to her path of “one nation under God” that our Founding Fathers intended.

Saturday Cinema – The Little Theater with the Big Picture

Saturday Cinema is a non-profit, independent, educational movie theater in central Pennsylvania showing cutting-edge documentary films to the community for the purpose of promoting a “Biblical World View” and lauding our Judeo-Christian heritage and it’s legacy of freedom and capitalism.

We do not necessarily endorse every aspect of every film, but we believe every film contains important and relevant components to a biblical understanding of our fallen world.

Saturday Cinema provides an opportunity for the audience to understand and apply biblical principles to all areas of life, and a vision to reclaim our heritage, reform the culture, and restore the American republic.

A book and video lending library serves to reinforce themes and address questions raised within the various film presentations. Over 300 titles on DVD are available at no rental fee to members of the “Video Lending Library”.

Many of the DVD’s featured on the PPN website are included and are accessed by pastors, homeschoolers, as well as individuals.

119 Ministries

119 Ministries is a ministry dedicated to seeking, teaching and living out the truth of the Word. Our purpose is to seek and bring the truth to all nations, unlearn false doctrines and traditions of men, and to equip the body to live and practice the Word as God originally intended.

We find that continuously examining the Scriptures (in the same Hebraic first century context and perspective in which they were written and understood) reveals to His people much more understanding, as opposed to the more common Greek mindset that is a couple thousand years removed.

We firmly believe in testing all doctrine to His Word and only holding on to what is good. Any belief that may fail such a test (regardless of that particular doctrine’s origin or even its popularity) is systematically rejected.

We seek to search the scriptures daily, in the same way Paul commended the Bereans in determining what was true. Through the leading and teaching of the Spirit we aim to bring 100% pure truth to all nations, teaching them to obey everything He commanded.

We recognize that this is not always easily done, and we welcome friendly and truth seeking engagement from fellow believers in His perfect Word , as we also believe iron sharpens iron.

We expect to challenge you, and also desire to be challenged, all under our unified desire to seek, understand, and apply His one and only Truth as revealed in His Word.
