Stand in the Gap Today 2/22/17
It would have been nice to have heard some specific scriptures that give any role in our children’s education to either the state or the church. Dr. Pettit instead fell back to the common “practical” concessions in those areas rather than what God has ordained. Someone should have asked the question, “To whom do children belong?” (to God – and, thus, the follow-up question: To whom did He assign the responsibility for their upbringing?) But we understand that BJU is competing in the education marketplace and cannot appear too controversial.
