Pennsylvania Pastors’ Network Resource Library Offers Extensive Help for Pastors
PHILADELPHIA—Today’s journey from the pastor’s office to the pulpit can be an intimidating one. With so many different needs in America’s church congregations, coupled with the challenge of how to address sensitive societal issues with believers in varying degrees in their walks of faith, the pastor’s job can be daunting to say the least.
The Pennsylvania Pastors’ Network (PPN, www.papastors.net) offers pastors around the country, help with tackling the tough issues both inside and outside the walls of the church. Through its extensive resource library, PPN gives pastors the guidance they are looking for as they lead America’s churches.
“Especially in the small and mid-sized churches that dot the landscape of our country, pastors often feel very isolated, and overwhelmed with the enormous task of tending to their flock alone,” said Sam Rohrer, President of PPN and the American Pastors’ Network (APN, www.AmericanPastorsNetwork.net). “Pennsylvania Pastors’ Network’s online resource library is one of the most extensive in the U.S. with over 500 biblical worldview-selected resources to date for pastors. The PPN resource library was added to help pastors specifically, and Christians generally, to speak biblical Truth more confidently and effectively into the public square. We know that the PPN Resource Library is increasingly becoming a welcome and trusted partner in the search for information to help both pastors and their congregations become more effective in being the ‘salt and light’ God intends.”
PPN’s resource library is organized by genre (books, DVDs, articles, links, audio and video) as well as by topic. Most resources are free for pastors and others to read and/or download. Some items are available for purchase, and the library also offer pastors information about classes or workshops they can attend online or in person at no charge, or perhaps for a fee. A list of topics also helps pastors who are looking for insight on today’s most pressing headlines, such as abortion, the Constitution, creation vs. evolution, economics, education, homosexuality, marriage, prayer, the Culture War and the environment. The library also houses many sermon titles that can serve as intelligent and timely starts to sermons that will equip congregations to be the salt and light of the earth in a dark world.
